Harris was excited to design a new ‘minivelo’ for cult cycling brand Tokyobike. As someone who is constantly moving across the city the challenge to reimagine an existing modern design classic was an exciting proposition for Harris. The ‘minivelo’ with its unique smaller wheels which aid with having nimble navigation through a city’s busy roads felt like the right cycle to work on. Harris’s design choice was to remove rather than to embellish with a surface application. The bikes were sent to a stripping plant to have all their paint removed to return the bicycle to its origin form to reveal the naked frame leaving the bikes with a striking chrome finish.
Whenever Harris is on the bike the feedback is always the same “people always stop him to say where did you get that bike from it looks really cool”.
